Our 31st annual Lutefisk & Meatball dinner will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greeley, Colorado on October 16th. Contact Marian Erdal at 970-225-9035 for information and tickets. Settings will be at 4PM and 6PM. $16.00 for adults and $6.00 for children ages 4 to 10.

Colorado SON lodges will gather for "Kretsstevne" during Septembe 17-19. For questions, and registration information, call Crystal Sundet at 720-283-8592 or Barbara Robb at 303-443-9158. This event will take place at Green Mountain Falls, north-west of Colorado Springs. Activities include Horseshoe Contests, Hikes, Children's Fishing and activities, a Talent Show, Singing, a Winery Tour and a Happy Hour (BYOB)

Stein Fjell will celebrate its 34th Anniversary on Saturday, January 16th at Zion Lutheran Church, 815 East 16th Street in Loveland.It will be a pot-luck luncheon. Anniversary pins and the Viking of the YeAr will be presented. Entertainment will be by Jeff Barton and Dave Mortan. Please bring a covered dish and $5.00. The event starts with a social at 11:30 AM.

June 2009 Scandinavian Mid-Summer Festival

We had a hectic time getting ready for this year's festival which started with Estes Park deciding to re-sod the main lawn area of Bond Park.Many changes were made in the last minute. In the end we were able to locate our concession near the original location and get the necessary electric power. We served Pølse (brats) Korv (Swedish sausage) Meatball sandwiches, assorted cookie combos with Krumkake, sandkake, pepperkake, spritz, rosetter and Almond bars. We also sold coffee, lemonade, & snow-cones. Besides the various food offerings we had our Butikk.
We were happy with the results. Our next challenge will be Lutefisk in October
