Ski Train To WinterPark 2005

Well, a good time was had by all. Patrick and I were the representatives at the Trollheim Lodge's annual Ski Train trip. The drive down that morning was frightening as the roads were not plowed yet. It was a great reunion of my train buddies out to convention last summer. Diane Molter and Margaret Collins along with several other Trollheim members were all seated in car 8. The two and a half hour ride was absolutely beautiful with the fresh falling snow. Those that were skiing had a fresh 10 inches of snow at Winter Park, the only powder in Colorado that day. Patrick and I not being skiers took all of the different free bus routes around Winter Park and Fraser. There was some great shopping in downtown Winter Park. We had lunch at a fabulous Irish pub as it was almost St. Patrick's Day. I did spy an awesome tubing park in Fraser for the trip next year! -Stephanie Sikes

The Ski Train arrives in Winter Park with snow still falling.
Stephanie's allready to go...if not a bit cold already.
Ski Winter Park!
The train parks right on the main line just out of the famous Moffat Tunnel.
She'll be coming 'round the mountain...
